We welcome feedback, corrections, and questions about MarryByState. Our goal is to keep every state’s marriage license information accurate and current, and reader feedback is one of the most valuable ways we do that.

Report an Error or Outdated Information

If you notice that a fee, waiting period, or requirement has changed for any state, please email us at research@marrybystate.site. Include the state name, the specific data point that appears incorrect, and ideally a link to the official source (state statute or county clerk website). We investigate all reports and update the site when we can verify the change.

Have a question about marriage license requirements that is not covered in our FAQ? Email us and we will do our best to help. Please note that we are not a government office and cannot process applications, issue licenses, or provide legal advice. For official information, always contact your county clerk’s office directly.

Response Time

We aim to respond to all emails within 5 business days. Corrections that affect wedding planning (such as fee changes or new waiting period rules) are prioritized and typically updated within 48 hours of verification.
